Blake Griffin Considered More Likely To Leave Clippers Than Chris Paul

The return of Blake Griffin to the Los Angeles Clippers in free agency is less certain than Chris Paul's, according to sources.
Griffin will be a free agent for the first time in his career this summer. Griffin signed a super-max extension in July of 2012 a year before he would have become a restricted free agent.
Griffin's personality could lend him to consider the decision privately instead of taking a series of public meetings.
The Clippers can offer Griffin one additional guaranteed season and 7.5 percent raises.
According to Steve Ballmer, the Clippers don't have any interest in blowing up their roster.
"I love those guys, and I want those guys back," Ballmer said.

Hi,
I voted NO. I'd give max contract only to a player who can bring #18. I don't consider Blake to be such player.

I voted other............we need a true center and if we get one we slide Horford over to PF to stretch the floor.
We also need a shooter first ....you can see how we struggle at times when guys are not scoring.

It's too early to say yes or no to signing Blake Griffin.
By next summer, IT, Bradley, Olynyk and Smart are all going to get big pay raises.
Do they want to keep them over other free agents?
I could see Blake moving on from the Clippers, especially if they can't get out of the first round.
Blake would be an upgrade for Boston, but I'm not sure he's a great fit on their roster.
I think they have other needs to address first.

Blake Griffin is a very talented basketball player. That being said, he is also one of the most injury prone players out there today. When he is out, he gone for a long time, Look at what is going on in LA right now. Doc Rivers had a really good starting lineup, heading to division finals I believe. In the blink of an eye, Griffin is out for the year. If they are able to beat Utah, which I really do not think they will, they will get beat in the next round.
I know many will say it is because Doc has not built a good bench. Other than Crawford and Reddick (who is having a terrible year), his bench is failing him. With Griffin out, the pressure is on the starters This happened last year too.
I would not take a chance and give him that kind of money, It is a crap shoot. He could go somewhere and never get hurt again, or.........the same thing could happen. I guess I am not a good gambler here.

No.
I think Rosalie said it best. Too high of a risk given the price.
We're in the process of building something long-term. Griffin's window is closing too rapidly.

I said no, mostly because I worry he's been under the knife too often. Also, he had a pretty good cast and him on the Clips, and they still never did much...
