the...."another year with no fireworks" team.

a couple days back I proposed one option for building a "super team" by adding TWO all-stars. Linked here:

now I will go the other direction. What IF Danny strikes out. no team is willing to trade a current all-star, even for all Dannys many assets. What if all the top FA's spurn Boston for other teams or to stay where they are.

Or maybe Danny is adding future assets because he knows we are simply too far away from beating Cleveland and GS. Adding All-stars now, leaves us short in his mind.

this is the "continue building" team.

Kelly (match any offers he gets or he signs his tender)
Jerebko ( another one and one deal in the $8M range)
J. Jackson ( #3 pick, Rambone Loves it!)
Green ( Resigned one year $5M deal)

D. Jackson
second round picks

all battle for final roster spot.

if Kellys deal is in the $12M range, we'd be around $105M in total salarys next year or $4M over the cap.

With Zeller, Green and Jerebko's non-guranteed year coming off in 2018.

and possibly the #1 and #2 picks in the 2018 draft in Danny's pocket.

we would not be a better team than now, but we would still be one of the top 5 teams in the NBA and have lots of options for long term improvement.
