FirstAidKIt for the NBA draft, FA, and Trade Rumours

When you find yourself in times of trouble, confused by various trades, FA signings, and who will actually get drafted, you can help yourself to liberal doses of this classic. Learned something new today, that's Tina Turner and the Ikettes doing the backup vocals. WoW!

Frank Zappa, so many memories. I had a college roommate who had every album of his and played them regularly.

Always loved Frank and saw him many times starting in 1969. I got to tour with him and the Mothers in late 1974 for several days on their tour bus to write a story about it and photograph him. Was an unforgettable experience. Here's the piece.:

Had Frank against a wall to take a few head shots of him for the piece.  Took this one:

Funny story. While I was taking a few head shots of him for the piece I inadvertently took one of Frank just as he started a huge yawn. As soon as I took it he said, "I KNOW you're gonna use that shot and when you do, I want to put this next to my mouth.' And he took a used Ernie Ball .048 guitar string envelope and drew "ARF. Pat. pending on the back of a used Ernie Ball guitar string envelope and handed it to me. Here is what Frank drew:

And here's how it came out in the magazine after our art director worked with what Frank gave me;
