and now for the next shoe............

Jody Genessy: People keep asking about the Hayward-Crowder sign-and-trade. Not much of an update, but a source tells me it’s unclear if it will happen. – via Twitter DJJazzyJody

Adrian Wojnarowski: Sources: Boston, Utah sign-and-trade talks dormant since AM. Celtics engaged throughout NBA on Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart and Jae Crowder. – via Twitter wojespn

looks like the sign and trade talks may have broken down. I am sure Danny wanted another asset coming back to give Crowder to Utah. I'm not sure they had anyone that interested Danny (for the right salary coming back).

Danny still needs to move someone to get Hayward here , however.

Danny hopes to get something in return from trading Crowder.  A player, a future draft pick, something. If not from Utah, then from some other team.  Either way, it allows cap space in order to sign Hayward.

At least Utah gets something back by completing the sign-and-trade.  Maybe they don't want to lose even more on the deal by sweetening the pot, particularly in the eyes of their fans.

Crowder is on a very nice and easy contract for years, I cannot imagine some team won't offer something that interests Danny.
