MY NOTE:  It is mentioned in the 2nd video that he rotates to his left after release, what we might see as "spinning away from the basket".  It is often MUCH more pronounced than shown in the video.

Every young kid growing up now wants to be Steph Curry, just like Kobe wanted to be MJ and young players today wanted to be Kobe.  That is driving the game even further to the perimeter and away from the rim.
