Congratulations
Brad Stevens, 200th win.
The Pantheon of Boston Celtic Coaches:
Name.................Regular Season Wins.......Playoff Wins.....Total Career Wins.........Championships
Red....................795...............................90..................885............................9
Tommy...............427................................47..................474...........................2 (Cowens, Hondo, Jo Jo, Silas, Nelly, Westphal)
Doc....................416...............................58..................474............................1 (Pierce, KG, Allen)
KC.....................308...............................56...................364...........................2 (Bird, Parish, McHale, Ainge, Max, Walton, DJ)
Bill Fitch.............242...............................26...................268...........................1 (Tiny, Bird, Parish, McHale, Max)
Chris Ford...........222...............................13...................233...........................0
Brad Stevens....200..............................11...................211...........................0 (yet)
Bill Russell..........162...............................18...................180...........................2 (Player-Coach, 3 seasons)
My point in listing the players in those championships is to show that those coaches won those championships (and many of their career wins) because they had HOF players playing for them. This is the first year Brad has a future HOFer, Kyrie, playing for him. Tatum could become one but is still at the very, very beginning of his career, as is Brown. When Danny can snag one more (could be Hayward, we'll have to wait and see) then we'll see the coach who has already passed Bill Russell's 3 year win totals in 4 1/2 years (and that's starting with a team that couldn't have won much more than Brad's 25 if God himself had been the coach) show why he's a prodigy. Only 22 more wins, he'll get those this season, and then only ones ahead of him all have Rings.

Re: Congratulations
No question that Stevens is a top level NBA coach. I would like to see Ainge sign him to a contract extension right now.

Re: Congratulations
I think Magic Johnson was signed by the Lakers to a 25 year, $25 million deal. Maybe see if Brad will take Crowder money for a quarter of a century. Sign him for 25 years/$175 million.

Brad Stevens is on the same level as Phil Jackson and Popovich.

Fierce,
Don't you think we should wait a bit, oh say, until Brad wins a couple of championships before we put him up on the medal stand with a couple of HOFers?
