I don't think we can offer anything but the vet minimum on any buy out players.

we are over the cap and I don't think we have any cap exceptions to use

So it boils down to who they think the winners will be. Let's face it, wouldn't you???? Where will they get the most playoff money and a ring? I hope someone will be around to come off the bench, we need that help

Boston can ink Monroe, keep Smart, and get on with it.

Lakers got a couple of expiring contracts and unloaded a big contract on Cleveland. They can go FA shopping.

Cleveland cleaned house. They've become very entertaining if a little schadenfreude is your thing.

Memphis may be able to retain Evans.

NYCelt,

You think Memphis will retain Evans?  After the way they shopped him?  It's not like Marcus Smart, where he was available but played until he hurt himself.  Memphis held Evans out even though he was healthy so as to not endanger his trade value with an injury.

If I was Tyreke I'd get the freak out of Memphis sometime in mid-April.

.

Bob,

Yeah, I think he's going to be staying there.

Looks like they're willing to negotiate if he hasn't borrowed ITs Brinks truck.

I think you are right about that. Vet min prorated for the remainder of the year.

I'd expect Evans could get more money via free agency than Memphis could offer. He's a non-bird FA.

Would we prefer Joe Johnson at this stage of his career to Nader? I could see Bellineli but I'm skeptical of JJ.

That is a good point. I like Nader and the more time he gets with regulars and second string, the better he plays. He is pretty good defensively. I have said before, we have been following him for a couple of years. I like what I see
