I believed that a decimated Celtics team needed Smart.  He came back in time to help us get past the Bucks and the Sixers.

Anybody ready to bet against the Celtics?

Charles Barkley still is. He predicted a Cleveland sweep last night.

Steve

During the tnt post game they refused to say anything good about Boston.  Barkley did throw some compliments to Brad but that was it

It was shamefully biased

One thing that I had forgotten, since they havent been relevant since Allen Iverson was a young pup is - I DONT LIKE THE SIXERS and these clowns, Embiid and Simmons are more than up for playing their role as villains.

Overhyped, over confident, and in no way built to beat the Celtics.

Lebron James played the best series he is capable of playing vs. Toronto. He will not play that well two series in a row, so I say BRING IT.

I think the experience gained by two competitive series puts Boston squarely in the mix to make it to the finals.

Any team that has Lebron will present problems.  But I know that Stevens has enough film on the Cavs to take something away.

I have a funny feeling that Boston can and will beat the Cavs.

I heard he added, "Not five, not six, not seven..."

First, he has to learn to shoot - not five, not six, not seven... feet from the basket, but 12, 15, 20.

Tim Legler was showing , on film , how the Celts defend Lebron differently than Miami and Toronto did. Less switching . More " hard shows" resulting, according to Legler, in James getting the benefit of fewer mismatches.

Our kids are not kids anymore.

We got a better shot at winning this series than about 12 other eastern conference teams..... gotta be in it to win it.

I wonder how that boy behind the dragon's head likes the ride with the crazy Celtics players and their coach.

Also, is there something Marcus Smart isn't telling us? Shocked

The NBA is about match ups. Again, Lebron will get his. But who else?

Rozier > Hill
Brown > Smith
James < Tatum
Horford = Love
Baynes = Thompson

James will get his, but I see no one on the Cavs who can deal with Tatum or Rozier. Smart will eat up their backcourt and dont see anyone off their bench dealing with Morris (if he picks it up)

Celtics in 6.

Last series they started Korver over Thompson, they already went small.

He is not nearly as bad as he has been recently. I predict he will go off at some point in ths series and help win a game.

Cow - Morris went for 17 and 5 and shot 40% from the field in Game 4 vs the Sixers. He is averaging 12 / 5 in the playoffs and shooting 35%. If you look at the numbers, he is not getting worse every game - he had some stinkers in the Bucks series as well.

He is and always has been a feast or famine type of player, and his shooting in the Sixers series was up and down, same as the Bucks series. I dont see him being able to drop consistent points, but if he has one or two good games vs Cleveland - that is all they need from him.

He looks to me a player who playoff basketball at this level has passed him by, the volume of noise of Celtic fans cursing whenever he gets the ball slapped back in his face on snail like drives must be historically loud!!!

Cow - you have long passed any ability to pass objective judgement on Marcus Morris, so I take your comments with a grain of salt.

My 2 cents!

Morris may have had a bad series, however he is an excellent player off the bench and does al lot of small things that do not wind-up in the stat sheet. I remember Ray Allan being ice cold against Atlanta in 2008 series, and other not so hot series as well.

I’m no Ray Allen fan, but his resume and body of work is completely different than Morris

Last 2-Minute Report claims Embiid got fouled, Smart walked. That should make the Sixers' fans feel a lot better.

The two minute report is a meaningless endeavor.  It ignores all the missed calls for the rest of the game (46 minutes) which leaves it statistically insignificant.

It is ironic that the picture at to top of the page of the article shows Joel's elbow out and against Terry's neck.

It's purpose isn't so much to report facts as it is just to create controversy.
