Why the Celtics need an acupuncturist...
When Bob Wolfe was Larry Bird's agent and next door neighbor, Bob's son Gary was at the New England School of Acupuncture. Neither Larry nor any of the other Celts went for acupuncture treatment, unlike Kevin Johnson of the Phoenix Suns who used it regularly to treat his hamstring woes. Perhaps times have changed, and there's now an acupuncturist on staff, but I haven't heard of it.
Here's a great story about a gal who treats 40 NFL players and why she's so popular:

worcester,
Do you by any chance know of a doctor of eastern medicine, perhaps one who is a Celtics fan and hangs around a certain message board, who might be able to coordinate this?
It wouldn't really matter if he lives outside of MA. For example, even the C's coach is a FL resident.
Just a thought.
Regards

NYCelt, When Shaq lived in Miami he used to frequent a colleague of mine who since has moved to Guadeloupe, so just maybe Shaq is following up with acupuncture in Boston. Following up on your suggestion, I'll get in touch with Gary Woolf and ask him to contact the Celts. he probably still has some connections with the brass there, given who Bob Woolf was. Here's a partial list of his clients: Carl Yastrzemski, Larry Bird, Doug Flutie, Bernard King, John Havlicek, Ken Harrelson, Jim Plunkett, Julius Erving, Thurman Munson, Mark Fidrych, Jim Craig, Derek Sanderson, Robert Parish, Rocket Ismail, Ruben Sierra, Larry King and the New Kids on the Block.

Cow, Gary Woolf is not practicing acupuncture now. He can't afford to since he's making so much money in other ventures. He started Monster Inc., Samsung USA, and Xerox Document Services among other ventures these last 10 years. His latest project is the Israeli Baselball League, of which he's Director. I'll ask him to talk with the Celts about hiring someone from the faculty of the New England School of Acupuncture. They know their stuff.
