Sam mentioned about his interest in WWII so here is a real tough one.

What is the significance of this flask?

Where the HELL do you come up with these?

No, don't tell me, it'd make it too easy to cheat.

Bob

I had several family members in the War. Uncle drove a tank on Iwo and another served on a ship in the Pacifis, niether talk about those days very much. Step dad served in Korea in the Seabees. Still has habits from those days like when it's time to eat he's always the first one done. Back then you never knew how long or when your next meal would be.

As to the question anyone that knows much about WWII will know the story behind the flask.

A hint I will give is that it has to due with 80 brave men!

When there are only 2 of them left, (their are only 6 now) the last 2 pop open the bottle of brandy pictured and toast to all of them.

Talk about a bunch of brave souls, doesn't even begin to tell their story.

I am also a WWII fanatic, remember reading 30 seconds over Tokyo as a pre-teen. A great book! I felt like I was in the cockpit of a B-25 trying too take off of the flight deck of the Hornet, the excitement and suspense of the mission totally enraptured the 12 year old me. Those pilots and crewman were true American Heroes.

Willy

Just amazing in so many ways. Getting these birds off that flight deck heavily loaded with fuel and bombs. And all of those men volunteered for this mission. And Jimmy D himself was about 45 years old at the time. Twice as old as many of those that followed him! He was the first plane off the flight deck I think.

Oh so many heros then and so few are left.
