Erden has good hands, hes very active, hes not that slow for a 7 footer

Every time I look up he is fumbling a pass, losing the ball, blowing a layup, or fouling someone.

Actually, if one counts both Perk and Jermaine, Semih is the fastest legitimate center of the four on the Celtics.

I think it is great that they are getting a chance to put Erden in and get minutes in games where it counts, not garbage time. I think the kid is okay, still has alot to learn about the NBA, but can help them sometime down the road.

Ray actually looked like Reggie Miller on that three—kicking his leg out.

Your're right Sam, that is what Miller did so much of the time.

For the contest tonight, guess the total number of points that will be scored by the Celtics non-starters.

• Winner gets $5

• All entries due by the beginning of the fourth quarter

• There must be at least five entries to constitute a valid contest

• Change your entry as many times as you like until the fourth quarter

• No duplicate entries

I agree that sometime in the future he could be a decent player on the second unit, but this year when he comes in I cringe....like when Okajima came into the game for the Red Sox last year

I wonder why the Jazz picked that end of the court for the first half. The Celtics have usually preferred their offense to operate in the end nearer their bench in crunch time. And that's what will happen tonight.

Good point by Tommy. Semih's getting bigger minutes tonight because they want to be able to count on Shaq in tomorrow's back-to-back.

69% shooting for the half...Utah doesn't look like they came to the game ready to play. Of course having Williams out with early foul trouble isn't helping them.

What is Tyrone Lue's focus as an assistant coach? I frequently see Doc turning to him in the second row to discuss things.

The Celtics have eclipsed my magic number of a 17-point margin. That usually foreshadows a win (with only two exceptions in the Garnett era). But the Jazz have come back from 15+ deficits something like 15 times (I can't recall the exact number) this season. So we'll see. Especially if Deron Williams actually gets to play.
