According to Comcast, Marquis is moving about at the hospital, very slowly, but moving. It looks like he will be okay.

C'mon Celts. A long way to go in this one. Pretty good defensive intensity has kept the Magic bombing from outside (which they love to do anyway). But, if you keep a hand in their faces, the advantage can go to you.

i think that Quis injury was the catylist for this turnaround, seems like Orlando was flat once the game got going and Boston just built up more and more momentum, but any more news locally on 'Quis?

Had to leave at the half after having my laptop hijacked for the first half.

Just returned to see we're up 70-55. Obvously a bit of a change to the flow of the game since the start of the 3rd.

Celts had a couple of nice chances to get it to the magic 17 number—especially on that fast break. That was a terrible open court pass by Rondo. Sometimes I think he tries to cut too fine a line on his passes when better positioning and timing would do the job.

Last chance for the contest. I have three entries: Matty, Bigpygme, Rosalie. Have I missed anyone?

I think a lot of the issue with the broadcasters, especially on national telecasts, is that they need to find a way to make the game understandable for the average fan. Most people here are way beyond that.

Hard to sell guys like Van Gundy and Jackson short. They know more about the game than everyone here combined x4, but they have to entertain the masses the advertisers are trying to reach.

I agree to some degree to that, but many times they sound like a cheerleading duo, especially when Miami and LA are involved

Rosalie,

I've been hearing that quite a bit here on the board, so I decided to try and listen as impartially as I could. I've found that especially this crew including Mike Breen is pretty even handed, passing out compliments to the Celtics at as high a rate as any team.

I think it's just our natural bias. I prefer Mike and Tommy. National teams are bound to be a little more impartial and I think fans who hang out on any specific teams board may perceive there team is getting picked on.

Me, I'll go as far as to say after Mike and Tommy, I'll take Van Gundy, Jackson and Breen.

I'll also add the disclaimer that although I don't know Jeff personally, I have met Stan and their father Bill at various functions over the years. Jeff is a former classmate of my wife and he is the best friend of the husband of one of her closest friends. Jeff and his family have been big contributors to an annual high school tournament with which I'm involved as well and they're very community oriented. The entire Van Gundy family is a walking basketball encyclopedia, with Bill having been perhaps as good a coach as his two sons, minus the NBA exposure.

Its pretty clear that the most impartial announcer around is Tommy Heinsohn.

Come on boys, lets bring this one home. They let the Dallas game slip away; gotta win this one.

You could be very right in your opinion of them. I do not have any knowledge of them personally. I will admit that I have always listened to the Celtic announcers, going all the way back to Johnny Most. I am a "homer", I will admit that to you!! Johnny Most taught me basketball. I used to keep a transistor radio in my bed and listen to Johnny just diagram the plays and I pictured them in my mind. After a couple of years of this, I had learned so much about the game of basketball that my brother couldn't shut me up!! So......You are probably right but I will stay with Sean Grande and Cedric Maxwell!!
