Seems like we are Matty. I know the team is playing poorly of late, but its not so bad people aren't even watching the game, is it? Evil or Very Mad

The Celtics are still a step too slow in this game. The Pacers are getting all the loose balls and rebounds.
Still no evidence the team has turned into a championship caliber team, unfortunately.

Green is carrying the team right now...12 points and a block.
Nice to see West back out there, and it would be even nicer if Shaq could make it back soon. Apparently he is close.

pumpsie, right after the trade i tossed out a feeling that homecourt might be lost in the east- didnt have much hope of beating san antonio, but the combination of injuries still nagging and holding people from playing and the intergation of the new guys could cost us some games.

returning to championship caliber is a process but one I think we're more than capable of. Just gotta be patient.

Thanks to Pumpsie for starting this thread. Late getting in from dinner out.

Let's see about a contest, although it doesn't seem there are many people on the thread. Total points for the Three Amigos combined.

Need five entries. Before 4th quarter Yada yada. I'm not counting the two early "entries."

Now thats more like it!
Seems to me that this version of the Celtics is more potent when they push the ball up the court. They should do more of that.
Great performance by Green tonite.

Pumpsie, pushing the ball is what I'm hoping the bench will do a lot of when they get it together.

I think I see one thing that they'll have to work on in the defensive end.

Krstic is making a point, per Doc's orders, to pick up his man early so as not to get caught down low and overpowered. But that takes Krstic away from the basket. Opponents' other players are just cutting to the hoop unmolested. It's just a matter of Krstic's teammates (especially KG) doing a better job of rotating to cover for him.

Perk didn't have to pick up his guy as early, because he was seldom overpowered underneath. But Krstic's better at feinting at his teammates' defensive assignments to freeze them when they come off picks so his teammates can recover.

Arroyo is also playing well. Seems like our second best PG on the team. He just has to get his outside shot down.
Not a real good finish to the half. Had them by 14; now its 7.

Those who began watching the game late missed out on a rare treat: Mark ("Marky Mark") Wahlberg did some (off) color commentary.
He should stick to acting and not give up his day job.

A couple of interesting halftime stats.

The Celts have only 5 turnovers (like the Pacers) and only one by the bench.

No Celtic has committed more than one foul, while two Pacer starters (Hansbrough and Hibbert) have three apiece.

Nice to see the bench injecting some life into the game.
