6 DOWN 76 WINS TO GO!
Another game, I think the count is 3 where the C’s just could not get going in the first period. Mini was working the elbow and scoring down low. When we started to score we only sustained it in small spurts. Really no flow or intensity by the team could not hit a barn from outside. Daniels had a nice flurry with 1 minute to go with some nice baskets
First Period Stars: 0
Kudo’s: Perkins 4/4 and some nice moves on Jefferson.
Second Period Star: Second team. Tied the score with 5 minutes to go in the period.
Eddie cold as ice in Mini during the winter. Celtics got out scored 16/8 in the last 5 minutes of the period. It seemed Rambus was using an old Laker defensive strategy on Rondo.
Third Period Star: Rondo finally heard the alarm clock and woke up the rest of the team with a beautiful steal and basket with 5 minutes to go. Nice 3 pter from House to close the period.
Fourth period Star: Pick’em Celtic Defense!
LET’S GET THE HELL OUTA HERE…BOSTON CANNOT BE CLOSE ENOUGH!

Nice to know we can have an "off" night on the road and still put one in the W column.

Just afraid Bob that we are going to have problems with back to back as Toomy noted tonight. Just glad the starters had an easy night last night in Philly.

We do have a lot of guys over 30, but when Baby comes back I think we go 11 deep. Starting 5 plus Eddie, Sheed, Daniels, Sherwin, Scal and Baby should give us the depth to limit big minutes and hopefully be fresh. Better depth than last year for sure.

Every night you face a different challenge, and not every team is going to roll over. The Wolves have a good young nucleus and had a couple of players that play every well on a consistent basis (Jefferson and Gomes) and a couple of guys that played out of their minds last night (Flynn in stretches and Pecherov who had a career night)
I do agree that the “wait till there are 9 minutes to go in the 1st half before you turn it on” mentality is going to catch up to them eventually, but maybe one embarrassing loss to a team they should beat will wake them up.
The second unit is playing great, and Rasheed is so much better than I ever realized. I can only imagine what a beast he was on both ends of the floor 10 years ago. The guy does so many little things, take absolutely no crap from anyone, and is tough as nails. I can live with his technicals – as long as he keeps the passion going.
Daniels is smooth as silk, really under control at all times…and I love Eddie House, even when he is off he keeps firing and eventually makes some big shots.
In the end, as win is a win. Back home for Phoenix on Friday – got club seats for this one, so looking forward to it.

Subconsciously, the Wolves sent a message to the Celtics. I know Rambis with his Laker history was in on it. But that's another story. I'm sure Buster Douglas' name was mentioned in the Twovles' locker room.
"Boston, we know you are going to probably win the championship this season. We're going to play tonight to force you to remember where you came from. The nucleus of your team came from right here. While it looks like you got the better end of the shaft over the last three years, we're going to put you in your place. This game may still be a blowout, but we're going to have a great game, maybe at your expense. We have heart and on a given night, we can beat you. The nucleus of our team came from Boston and we are going to make you think long and hard about those trades. This lesson may help you along the way this season or it may have absolutely no impact on you at all. Use it as you will."
Love,
Minni
Thank you Minneapolis for the heads up. I got it. I hope the Celtics did. We should have seen this one coming a long way off.

Bobc33,
Ever since Sheldon Williams was at Duke and his name is mentioned, I can't get the damn "Ask Sherwin Williams" paint ad/tune out of my head!! Glad to know I'm not the only one! 5th Avenue Marketing at its best.
