I'll be tuning in as the schedule is clear tonight, though Kansas and UNC just finished the first half at 47 apiece in a whale of a game so may not be here until after that one.

The Wiz certainly misses a decent player in the middle.

I read the other day where there is going to be alot of teams beating down Steamer's door this summer and KG is working on Danny and Doc to resign him because he fee;s the kid is a keeper.

Rosalie, I'll be shocked if Steamer's not with the Celtics next season.

Sam---Money talks....this kid has been around, so I am sure playing on this team has been a thrill for him. I think he has gotten better as the season has
progressed, he had a great game the other night in Milwaukee. There are so few decent "big" men out there that I agree with you, it will be a shocker if they don't sign him.

Sort of nice to be outshooting the opponent 63%-14%.

Hello Rosalie, hello Sam,

Nice first quarter. If Bradley could play like this against stronger competition would it be a good idea to have Ray Allen as the 6th man coming off the bench? We'd need someone on the second team to set picks and/or screens for him. What do you think?

I forgot to mention that the Celtics passed the magic 17 mark a while ago. Yes, they're playing a lousy team with a couple of key guys out, but what's impressing me are the timing and chemistry of the Celtics, whose rotation is a little messed up too. A LOT of high-percentage shots.

That is what I wish would happen next year......This year.....if we could get the right guy setting picks why not??? I wonder how Ray would like this idea though, especially during the last part of the season

I was going to save this for the post-game thread, but since you guys brought it up....

I have to say I'm refreshed by a Celtics team that is consistently being aggressive in going to the basket from the outset rather than taking their chances with a bunch of jumpers. Just play good (not great) defense and, if you're aggressive in the offensive end, you'll usually build a nice cushion.

Moreover, I think Ray's game is much more effective during the latter staages of the game, when the opponent has tired legs and doesn't so quickly cover Ray's curls. That would support Rosalie's notion that Ray might be better coming off the bench IF they can get someone dynamic to play SG. The way he's playing tonight, Bradley might be the guy. (I can't believe I'm typing that after being really down on him early in the season.) My one concern about him at that position is lack of height; but he seems to compensate with his suffocating defense on the ball.

I'm just not sure how far a team can go with no long-ball threat among the starters.

I know we're way ahead, but is that a reason to be so careless handling the ball?

Berlin, I can't tell you how helpful that list of phrases was. We're going to have a much better time Vienna because of it. (Of course, we weren't planning on a shabby time to start with.) I just wish you could come and have a drink or five with us.

With all this said, why would they even think about letting him walk away?????
I just wonder how much his ego has taken a hit these last couple of years when everyone had him on the trading block. Danny would have to do some real .....kissing to keep him. The thoughts of him going to Miami makes me sick.

One never knows what kinds of considerations come into play. It's not all about sentiment or even money. Just as many of us have been looking forward to the time when the Celtics will (hopefully) become more of an up-tempo team, Ray also knows that this is a strong likelihood. He'll have to evaluate his role on such a team versus alternatives. On the Celtics, he would probably be counted upon to fill a lane on the break. The Heat have plenty of lane-fillers and could offer Ray a fairly comfortable option as a trailer.

Well looks like both Avery and Greg are on their game.

AB is finally knocking down jumpers. The future looks pretty good.
