Board Get-together in San Francisco: Saturday, Nov. 10, 5:30 p.m. to Watch Game

For any members who might be in the San Francisco area on Saturday, November 10, Bob Heckler and I are hoping you'll join us to watch the Celtics-Milwaukee game that will start at 5:30 San Francisco time. We haven't yet finalized a place, although it will probably be in the Union Square area. We'll add the location to this thread when we do. We're not billing this as a party, as a party implies expense and there's no board budget for a party. It'll just be some people getting together to socialize, enjoy whatever food and beverages people want to buy, and watch the game. We're also looking forward to hoisting one in memory of Jeb, who made a bit hit at our previous S.F. party.

I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to join the SF get-together. I'm the past Scoutmaster, current Assistant Scoutmaster, and incoming Committee Chair for our boy scout troop, so I guess you could say I'm heavily involved. Our current Scoutmaster took a tumble yesterday and sustained a concussion, cracked ribs, and a shredded knee, so I need to step in and take his place this coming weekend, which means I can't travel up to the Bay Area.

Compared to what 112288 is going through, this is a minor inconvenience, but it will prevent me from meeting you guys. But it won't prevent me from having an Anchor Steam in your honor.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune of your colleague, and sorry not to have the opportunity to meet you.

Watching the Bucks game takes on added significance after the whipped us in Game Two. Just in case it happens again, the Anchor Steam seems like a great idea.
