Everyone knows that Wilt has the record for most points in a game with the Hershey 100. But who has the most points in 1/2 a game? And how many?

Interesting one. Although it doesn't specifically say so, the question implies that it's not Wilt. Because Wilt is the obvious first choice.

A player who has the most points in a half would, you'd think, be among the highest scoring games ever. I mean, to get to 100 points, Wilt had to get at least 50 in each half, right? And a player who scored the most in a half probably wasn't shut out in the other half, so it would be among the highest scoring games ever.

First thought is Kobe, when he scored 84 or whatever on Toronto a few years back. But Beat wouldn't do a Kobe trivia question any more than he'd get a Lakers tattoo...

So I'm going with David Thompson.

That man could score. Back in the days when I could afford tickets, I saw him play a game where he scored 18 in the first half and then got hot in the second and wound up with 40-something. What a player.
