all this talk about trades is moot now, no one is going anywhere

So now it's life without Rondo. Beating Miami without him today was probably due greatly to pride and adrenilan (sp?). To me, this clouds his future with the Celtics. The C's have lost with him this year, and no doubt will do more losing without him. Rondo competes admirably this must be eating away at him inside. # 18 will have to be put on hold for several years barring a major miracle, and Smokey Robinson won't due the C's any good. Barbosa will get increased minutes now as well as Lee & Terry. A win over the Heat is nice, but it's only a silver lining in a storm cloud. I guess there won't be anyone to walk the ball up court now. Hope Rajon makes a speedy, complete recovery and wish him well whether he stays in Boston or moves on after rehab. like R. Allen did. Rondo did not deserve this fate.

Agree 100%, although I'm not worried about a replacement PG for the rest of this season. Sort it out among Lee, Bradley and Terry for this season.

The question of when to start the process is now moot; tomorrow morning is fine. We're hampered by some financial constraints for now, but it's time to start seeing if we can pick up some higher draft picks or perhaps use someone we have in a deal to a contender for picks or a developing young player.

Rondo's injury just accelerates the inevitable in this case. If we're smart this is the start to a bright new chapter and I think current management will be smart.

Agreed, NYCelt. The future is now, and hope Rondo will heal completely and be part of it.

Good time to move on. To bad that we lost our only barganing chip for a quality proven center. Now its down to Melo as the hope for the future big or a quick trip to the bottom for a high draft pick or a 2 year wait to get 20 million under the Cap.
