DeMarcus Cousins, their center, leads the Kings with 2 of their 5 assists.

This is NOT a fluid offense for the Kings we're watching so far.

Would you say the Celtics are showing more player movement, more pushing of the ball, and more ball movement than before Rondo was injured? Or less of each?

The answer is precisely the reason why many people feel the Celtics' offense may gain better chemistry than with Rondo.

Sam, I didn't see the Miami game, though in this game yes to all you mention. If it keeps up I 'll love it, it just seems to not make sense in my head. I've always felt Rondo was mismatched to an extent with the older Big Three who are not fast break players, and if he ever played with other fast break mentality players we'd see his full game. But if indeed the chemistry improves and style of play changes with less walking it up the floor without Rondo, well bring it on.......

The Celtics scoring at halftime projects to having 8 players in double figures by game's end. It would be highly unlikely to work out that way neatly, but it is a good indication of egalitarian basketball. As is the fact that seven Celtics have at least one assist.

So far, the Celtics' attack is coming from everywhere, whereas it was really quite predictable during the first half of the season.

Let's see if they can keep it up.

Exploding in the 3rd quarter. Bass playing like a fiend. God, I love this. I think I've died and gone to heaven!

I was really expecting this type of game after the Miami game, but I couldn't have predicted this big a lead in the 3rd quarter. Go Celtics, Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks to me as though the Celts are monopolizing this game because they all got a get out of jail free card.

Right now, they need to get more aggressive again. About a minute ago, the pace slowed and they fell in love with lazy shots.

They've slowed down the tempo are not sharing the ball enough and settling for jump shots instead of driving to the basket. Good time-out by Doc.

Sam, I agree. Rondo ball = straight jacket ball for his teammates.

Barbosa brings a lot of energy but he's too out of control for my taste. Maybe when he gets more minutes he'll straighten out.

RosalieTCeltics wrote:My biggest worry is that they have sent me to a surgeon who has me waiting until April 1 for an appointment. I suppose it is because he is an excellent doctor and I need valve replacement on top of a by pass. So the nerves are jumping.

Rosalie,

My dad had a valve repair and bypass a year ago and he is doing incredibly well. As a matter of fact he wishes they had done it years earlier; at 87 he's feeling better than he has in about 10 years. The whole process is something to see; within about 20 hours of his coming out of surgery my brother and I walked in and were shocked to find him sitting up in bed complaining about lunch. Only an IV and small monitor gave any clue as to what was going on. By later that day he was sitting in a chair watching a game on TV. Home within a week and just over 3 months later I took him to see the surgeon for a follow-up exam. As he was bargaining to be allowed to drive the surgeon laughed and said "you don't need me any more, go for a drive and have a nice life."

Being nervous is normal, but this type of surgery has changed dramatically. You'll do great, I'm certain, and you'll be at TD Garden yelling at one of our forwards to box out by next season.

Best regards

Dang it our lead is down to 20!

Seriously, I don't like the slow down in tempo either. Maybe they're a bit tired after all that running. Better get used to it, guys!

Does anyone else feel that Sacramento is playing like they have no idea what they are doing on offense and defense?

Perfect example of great defense generating offense. KG block, fast break, 2 freebies. More like it.

TJ,

I think the Celtics' defense is having a lot to do with that.
