Besides being an awesome athlete, KG is one of the most intelligent men in Boston, and that includes all those Ph.D.'s.

Wow, what a nice win. It's not so much the margin of victory. It's not so much that it was against the Lakers. It's the way they continue to come together and their ability to pick apart opponents' defenses and offenses, regardless of styles of play.

Nice posting with everyone.

nycelt I don't want to get rid of him, but love our starting backcourt defense right now and both players are younger than Rondo, Nene is the kind of mobile athletic big that could really help us, since Joakim Noah is not walking through that door.

This was the first time I saw Sager in a decent suit, and KG noticed. He is so articulate, savvy enough to avoid gotcha questions, brilliant with his BBall IQ, and I bet he'll be a huge success for the rest of his life. He shows a lot of love to all those in his extended family, and that's a very smart way to live.

Cow,

I think Rondo can outplay them both; on both ends of the court. At his best he's about as good a defender as Bradley.

If you're going to conclude we're better off without Rondo at this time you also have to conclude we're better off without Sully.

Good teams pull together in the face of adversity and get it done.

Just my opinion; I think talk of this team being better off without Rondo is just plain silly.

Excellent win for the Celtics.
They played great team basketball on offense and defense.
The Lakers? Uh, not so much.
Kobe was great but they had nothing else going on.
No ball or player movement.

Well deserved and earned win by Boston.
Let's see if they can keep this streak going without Rondo.

I'm not trying to run Rondo out of town, but our defense has been much better since Rondo went down. Seen too many points light up Rondo this year, hasn't come close to happening since AB took over the point. Personel wise I agree with you, were not better without Sully and Rondo, but on the floor since Doc on the fly got them to buy into a new spread the wealth system the results are pretty overwhelming, wouldn't you say? sometimes less is more. We are playing our best basketball of the season, its just breathtaking....and it starts on defensive end.

Cow,

No debate; you're right that it has been a great run and we are seeing better movement. But if others had been stepping up sooner we might have seen the Rondo from '11-'12 and before again this year. You might ask if several of the guys weren't buying into the system before. I don't buy that Rondo was doing anything other than what Doc was asking of him. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have been playing. We were starting to see short glimpses of what is now happening shortly before Rondo went down.

Offensively I don't know if we would have found ourselves to this extent. I think Doc loves great points and he was letting Rondo have control of the team, giving him the mantle as a great point and as Rondo proved to Doc he could put up great numbers Doc thought this was the best way to go.....once Rondo went down and Doc had to come up with a best possible plan and VIOLA!!!

I don't think Doc knew this team could be this good, I certainly didn't see this coming when Rondo went down. Now the way were running, moving, attacking in waves, this is what I envisioned at beginning of year!!!
