News broke earlier that Phoenix sent a second-round draft pick to Houston for forward Marcus Morris, who joins his older twin brother, Markieff, on the Suns' roster. The two former Kansas teammates will be the second set of twins to play together in the NBA, joining Dick and Tom Van Arsdale, who were on the Suns in 1976-77.

Gyso,

There could have been two more. Twins Johnny and Ed
O'Brien were prolific scorers (Johnny more so) for the University of
Seattle in the early 1950s. They were HUGE news as college basketball players despite being only 5' 9" apiece. Both were drafted by the Milwaukee Hawks
about 1954. But they opted to play major league baseball instead and
were teammates on the Pittsburgh Pirates. (Both were what was called "bonus babies" in those days.) John played parts of 6 seasons and batted .250, and Ed played parts of 5 seasons and batted .236.

Who would expect the starting center to be Brandon Bass?

But we're running and off to a 16-3 stat with 6:30 to go in the 1st.

Williams can pass.

A different look; Williams at PG and Crawford at 2G.

You can't say we weren't willing to try something new.

Hi everybody.

No TV or link tonight for me. I'm just going to pop in and read this thread from time to time to "feel the flow".

OK...Williams and Crawford.

I'm sold so far. Great ball movement, pinpoint passing, unselfish play and great shooting.

Of course I'm getting this from about 3 minutes of play...

It's silly to make premature judgments, especially against a lower-echelon team. But Williams just seems to have a great feel for the game out there.

And Courtney Lee is a great positional defensive rebounder.

howdy from Az
Once a year I get to watch the Celtics on my "home" station. This has been a treat so far. Very impressed with the ball movement. The new additions are playing so well its really hard to believe they have not had practice time.

Bradley has to learn that speed is not always of the essence. He should study Paul Pierce, who is the best at "seeing" the game in slow motion. I don't mean running or moving slowly, but rather not caving in to hastiness.

For those who feel the refs are always against the Celtics, please note that the Celtics are more aggressively going to the hoop than the Suns and, consequently, the Celtics have a strong plurality in free throws (15-Cool. That's how it works, folks. Being more aggressive and not jumper-happy = more free throws.

I love it when the Celts absorb an opponent's run and come right back to build the lead up again. Do that enough times in a game and it takes the heart out of the opponent.

Right Sam, of course there are those unexplainable bad calls, and the sense that they love to call them vs the C's. Let's ask an impartial observer. Oh Tommy? Wink But the only answer to no calls is drive. Force the refs to make the call.
