Bass had the open shot, had the open shot, had the shot but waited until the defense fell back a bit and then stepped up a few feet and got within his range.

Very smart and disciplined shooting by Bass.

What the team really lacks is a personality. You know what I mean?

Pretty good first half. There's already a lot more coherence and energy with Rondo running the team—as long as he pushes the ball.

Once again, it's easy to pinpoint my favorite halftime stat. 19 assists on 23 made field goals for the Celtics. That's 83%.

Blakely's making a big deal about the fact that the Celtics are finally making their shots. Well of course they are. They're being set up in a much better position to succeed. Getting the ball in their favorite spots. Getting open shots. Capitalizing on their athleticism. Stuff like that.

Boy, especially compared with earlier in the season, they're much better offensive rebounders. Not that they've necessarily improved their techniques. They're just hanging under the offensive boards rather than turning tail and retreating.

Only three minutes for Johnson. Writing on the wall? If so, what does the writing say?

Philly announcer said "Sixers are playing like they're seeing these plays for the first time. They're standard NBA sets, a double staggered screen to rub Jeff Green's man off on".

When Jeff Green hits his outside shots he becomes unstoppable going to the hoop because the defense must honor his shot outside and then he blows past them.
