So much for Sully being benched! Crazy, set his alarm earlier he would not run into this problem

Crowder came off the bench.

He said he was caught in traffic. Sounds like my daughter who flies by the seat of her pants and is never on time. Bad, bad habit

Sully playing volley-ball off the backboard. Leads to a Thornton bucket.

Nice ball movement in and out for a Thornton three.

Young does not hesitate. We need a shooter like him!

Young calmly drains another three. Celts up by five.

The kid is looking good, playing good minutes. I guess he had a big game up in Maine the other night, 9 three pointers

I was wrong about Crowder's minutes. He didn't start. But he has played 13 out of 20 minutes.

Rosalie,
Maybe Sully didn't consider it take longer to get places in the winter. Snowbanks block intersections, roads get narrower, snow and water on the roads, drivers drive slower, etc.
I don't miss it a bit!!
However, Janie an I will be flying into Boston Friday and traveling up to NH for my Mother's 80th birthday celebration. I hope we are between storms.

Celts' switch to a 2-3 zone defense has befuddled the Nuggets a bit.
Sully has 7 points in 9 minutes, including a dreaded three.

guards shooting well tonight. Avery 11, Thornton 12, what does Young have?

Well, the zone didn't last long. Back to the man-to-man defense.
Re: Game-On! Nuggets @ Celtics - February 04, 2015
Bradley hits an open 3 on the break. Getting the ball up quicker gives you that kind of wide open shots!!

Favorite stat of the half: Celtics assisting on 76% of their made field goals. The ball's really moving, which needs to happen because the Nuggets have been sticking to the Celts like glue.
Re: Game-On! Nuggets @ Celtics - February 04, 2015
The best thing about James Young's performance is not his 8 points (although that's pretty good). It's the way he's looking more comfortable in the flow of the game. The best evidence is his three assists in the half.
Re: Game-On! Nuggets @ Celtics - February 04, 2015
When are you going home because they are talking about a storm for the weekend (not bad) but lasting into Monday and ending early Tuesday. This is brutal. They have no place to put all this snow.
My daughter takes the T from Somerville to Mass General three days a week, Tues,Weds,Thurs, for work. She walked home to Somerville from work yesterday. They shut the T down.
Unbelievable, just when everyone was thinking we had global warming and were never going to see snow!!! I kept saying to them to look out, it's coming.

I wonder if Faried is going to get traded, they say they may blow up this team. Last year they were in the playoffs, weren't they?

Sam,
I don't know if you saw my earlier post, but Janie and I will be in New England over the weekend. We are going to my Mother's 80th birthday party. It was going to be a surprise party. She knows some people are coming, but she doesn't know the scope. She is going to see my brother, Pete, for the first time in over a year. He has been in isolation, but he told me he will not miss this event.
My sisters set the thing up. Inviting people she knew over the years. She is very outgoing, she lives in Concord, NH but has a place in Maine. She was nominated "Quilter of the year" in Maine and is representing the Crazy Quilters group from Central Maine. The nominees were supposed to meet on the last Saturday in January, but it was postponed due to the snow. The snow date is February 7th, which is her birthday and the date of the party. That is why it is not a complete surprise any more, we had to give her a reason to stay home. All she knows is that it is a "small family get-together".
BTW, my brother, Pete, is doing better. He still does not have much strength. He is cancer free and actually is my clone now. His bone marrow is all "me", but there is still a battle going on between his new bone marrow and his body. He has weekly blood procedures to help with that. He has to take all his childhood shots again because nothing is left from the originals. He still has immunity issues and has to be careful whenever he is in public.
He goes shopping and used the electric shopping cart. He says people are very rude and don't make it easy on him by getting out of the way. He thinks it is funny that when he rides the cart, people talk very slowly and very loudly!!
