Everyone,

Thanks for the kind words on the last Game On! thread. De nada.

I may miss this thread. We have visitors for 3 weeks. Daughter and Son-in-law, their baby, his sister and their two dogs. Today is his birthday, so we have a full house.

I'll be lucky to have one eye on the game.

Go Celtics!!!

Hi gyso,

I want to add my thanks for getting up the game thread even on evenings when you have company.

With IT and Smart it's going to be a tough game tonight.

Go Celtics!

Hey gyso,

We'll miss you.

I certainly don't want to cast any aspersions on your visitors, and I'm sure you're delighted that they're there.  But isn't there an old saying that's roughly to the effect that, after three days, visitors smell like fish?  LOL.  Speaking from personal experience, not from any clues about your situation.  Have a great time with them, and please with your son-in-law Happy Birthday!

Brad's saying, before the game, that their typical practices before games consist of a 30-minute walkthrough and about 15 minutes on improving the Celtics.  Pretty skimpy.

Wow, the Celts had better defend better than on the first two Pistons' plays.

Both Turner and Crowder starting.  I hope Crowder actually gets a few touches; he usually doesn't with the starters.  Maybe Turner will get some for him.

Hey, Jae got a touch; and, two seconds later, he had an assist and the Celtics had a basket.

nice recognition by Zeller that he had Tolliver on him instead of Drummond.

Zeller is attacking more

Tommy's been "just a little under the weather" for a little while nothing.  I hope it's nothing serious.

Wow, Crowder made a mad dash at Caldwell-Pope, running him off the three, and Caldwell-Pope immediately traveled.

Bad stretch by Jae.  Missed a three (I'm not a big fan of his threes), and then fouled to give the Pistons a four-point play.

Crowder wanted to post his man up, but Turner passed it on top to Zeller, who passed it back to Turner and then Crowder went out to the 3pt line and missed.

Bad decision by Turner. If a teammate is calling for the ball in the low blocks, give it to him.

Especially if he's built like a linebacker.

Reggie Jackson's really smooth.  And I enjoyed his three homers in one World Series game.

So far, the Celts have 6 assists on 7 field goals.  Hopeful sign?

NICE interior defense by the Celts.  (I believe Kelly was involved.)

GREAT block by Kelly. The Celtics seem pretty well tuned into defense, especially in the lane.

Kelly should have rolled on that one, but at least, they got bailed out by a deflection call.
