Technical Advice
I'm an old , techno challenged guy, living in Mexico until at least June. In the states, I just bought the NBA TV package, but here in San Miguel de Allende , it appears I have to get a VPN and watch on my laptop. My housemate said VPNs are a nightmare, but I can buy one that the NBA promotes as good in Mexico. Any cautions or advice? Thanks in advance

Re: Technical Advice
I don't know much about VPN use, only that the monthly cost to download and use one on your phone, tablet or laptop shouldn't exceed $10 per month. There are free VPN downloads but I believe they do make money selling ads through the browser on your connection. I had a VPN downloaded to my phone at one time seeking secure connections when traveling. I ended up switching to a mobile WiFi router which I use to completely avoid using hotel WiFi connections. It gives me a way to make sure I'm exclusively on my own network anywhere, and is only slightly larger than a mobile phone. I've been told this is a more secure way to go than a VPN but I'm far from an expert.
I can't be much more help than that but there are a few others here that can supply better details.

I watch the Celtics on the internet, not TV. I have a VPN, which I use because I would be stupid not to given the websites I use to watch the games. I use Cyberghost. There are others, that's just the one I signed up with.

jrleftfoot,
Another good VPN is SurfShark. I've been using it for the last 3-4 years.

Re: Technical Advice
I watch all the games now on Streameast.io
Only drawback is it is 1 minute behind real time, which I only notice when talking to my gal who's watching on TV.
