Joakim Noah will undergo surgery on his left shoulder and miss the next four to six months.

The Chicago Bulls said in a news release that the shoulder dislocation was "reduced in the training room" Friday night and was evaluated at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago, where it was determined that he will undergo surgery to stabilize his left shoulder.

Noah may have played his final game with the Bulls as he will become a free agent in the offseason.

The Bulls figure to give more minutes to Bobby Portis in Noah's absence.

MY NOTE:  His price just dropped IF Danny wants him.  He doesn't need to do a sign-and-trade because he is a free agent, but he could do that to relieve himself of offsetting salary and keep all his space under the cap free for other free agents. Noah is almost 31.  He's making $13.4M this year.  I doubt, at his age and coming off a season-ending injury, demotion to the bench and reduced playing time, he'll get anywhere near that much.  He isn't a classic rim protector but he is definitely a glue guy.

um..no thanks...but I have no doubt that the Bulls would be VERY happy to unload his DEADWOOD salary the rest of the year.

maybe Danny can sing him to a cheap deal in the off-season, depending on what other moves he gets to pull off.

I think bob was referring to the offseason, at the right price he could be a very valuable role player for us, in a recent game that he got 30 plus minutes he had 18 rebounds, he is still by far a better defender than anything we have at the 5.

For next season..... at a cheap price !! Hell yes.

I think IF Noah gets a clean bill of health, he'll get at least $10-12M per year as an UFA.

With the cap expanding, no one will come cheap at least in the near future.

Noah will have a good 3 months more rehab time than Kevin Love, this will also give him more time to rebuild and heal his legs. He could be a very productive player, he still has a DPoY on his resume. Like Sam used to say, I don't want to get into financials, I'll let Danny handle that, its his job.

No thanks. Worry about the role players after the elite players are on board and we have a clear picture as to where the backup players are needed.

There is absolutely no way that Ainge can do anything with Noah at this time. Perhaps next summer or early fall if he is still available and at a reasonable price.
