Drummond is on a 5 yr\127 mil deal, making 22.1 mil this year. He has a player option in 2020 and an 8% trade kicker. Amir and any combo of Jerebko, AB, Zeller, Young, Green, or Jackson would make a salary match (I think). No doubt SVG would want the Nets picks. I am really intrigued with Fultz, so I really hope we hold on to this years pick and the lottery Gods heed the wise counsel of Red and Sam and bless us with the No.1 pick.

trade checker says amir and zeller get it done.

we got between 5-7 second rounders (depending on how things go) and 3 of our firsts and one each of the grizzlies and clippers between now and 2020. I think we have the goods to get a deal done leaving them Brooklyn picks alone.



we'd be short on Bigs following this deal, but K.O. and Jordan would be getting a lot more playing time as would Jerebko.

I sort of like this deal.

I can't see Danny crippling his cap for Drummond. While he is a premier rebounder and rim protector he is a terrible ft shooter and while effective in PnR, he's not a threat in a pick and pop role, which we know Brad loves in his bigs.

Edit: the thought of AH or KO in the PnP with IT and the option of Drummond and IT running PnR would be fun to see. Brad would no doubt have some great schemes drawn up.

Why is it these lousy free throw shooters don't take Rick Barry's advice and throw granny style? It would for sure up their %. Even Rick's son does it at U Florida now.

Since my belief is that even with Butler we don't beat GS and probably don't beat Clev, I would rather keep Brown over Crowder. Brown's ceiling is much higher than Crowder's and if we are 1-3 years away from a true title shot (GS window) then Brown should/will be hitting his prime and giving us everything Jae does plus more. Regardless of that, I AM NOT in favor of moving this years Nets pick for any of the players rumored to be on the block.

I believe that he may be referring to Jordan Mickey.

Not sure that Mickey will be on our roster next year as he has faded as a potential roster guy
in my eyes.

With or without the Nets picks, this is just toooooooo crazy even if the salaries all work due to the fact that the Cs would be trading away over one half of their current roster with only 25 games left in the season.

It's a great trade but don't Celtics have to have at least 12 players on the roster. Also, the bench would be what - Smart Green Brown Mickey and Jackson....

Exactly!  We sign fillers, promote Nader and/or veteran rentals for the rest of this year, which we weren't plannimg on winning anyway, and we have an amazing starting 5 under contract with none of their contracts expiring this year.

Won't happen but that is why I'd do it.

People get a grip The Celtics are not going to put out $47,000,000 per year + on their center position, AH and AD. They are not likely to put up that type of money on a Center and Power forward Combo either.

And it is unlikely that Detroit would take back AH in that deal. If they would I am all in.
