The Draft Thread for BIGS Empty The Draft Thread for BIGS

Danny could have traded Fultz for a couple of reasons:  He was underwhelmed by his competitiveness or because another trade partner wanted a different player (unlikely, but...) or because

Adam Himmelsbach @AdamHimmelsbach
yesterday
The Celtics' overflowing backcourt also factored into their decision to pass on Fultz, sources say.

If it's the first, then maybe Fox, Monk or Smith could be drafted instead and some of our guards are gone in a trade.  If number 2 then WTFK.  If it's the last reason then we could be talking about a big.  That's not likely since that would mean that Danny is actually drafting for need, and when was the last time he did that!?  Nevertheless, Danny being Danny, here are the bigs...

Jonathan Isaac

6'11" (2016), 205# (2016), 19 years 9 months, 7'1 1/4" wingspan (2016), 9'0 1'2" standing reach (2016).  59.35 from 2, 34.8% from college 3, 785 from fritoland.  7.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.5 TOS.  1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks.  All in 26 minutes/game.

MY NOTE:  6'11", 205#?  Doesn't anybody feed these kids?

Lauri Markkanen

7'0", 225#, 20 years 1 month, unknown wingspan and standing reach.  54.% from 2, 42.3$ from college 3, 83.5% from fritoland.  7.2 rebounds, .9 assists and 1.1 TOs.  .4 steals and .5 blocks.

MY NOTE:  Doesn't pass much, does he?  Also, pretty anemic steals and blocks.  Kelly gets more blocks than him.  Word is he is not a very good defender and has an average looking wingspan.

Zach Collins

7'0", 230#, 7'1" wingspan, 9'3" standing reach.  67.2% from 2, 47.65 from 3 (not many attempts), 74% from fritoland.  5.9 rebounds, .4 assists and 1.5 TOs.  .5 steals and 1.8 blocks.  All in 17.2 minutes.

DA would be trading down from 3 to get one of them and would be adding another future draft pick perhaps. At this point I do not see Danny adding another guard.

I can't see any big men at #3.

maybe if Danny trades down farther, but the meat of big men in this draft appears between say 10-20.
