Media Day Thread

Today is Media Day.  Tomorrow is the first official day of camp.  First preseason game vs Hornets is 6 days away on 10/6.

Media Day events begin at noon EDT.  Check back here regularly for updates and to make observations and additions.

I have to reactivate my NBA Team Pass this week.  That is my official commitment to watching my team play all year.  It cost $17.99 per month but it is well worth it.  The Celtics will be televised 34 times this season on ESPN, TNT, NBATV and ABC.  The NBA app fills in the coverage gap for me.

Hoping the team has a productive camp and that Brad implements the long awaited post offense.  On Oct 6th we will get our first glimpse of the team.  The challenge for Brad is the sheer volume of new players.  He will need to lean heavily on the returning guys and hope that Walker and Kanter can pick up the schemes quickly.

I do not know how much playing time will be allotted to our rookies.  Right now Brad must focus on establishing his top 8 rotation guys and then add to that mix.  

Now that preseason for the 2nd year has been limited to 4 games, the NBA may want to consider starting training camp earlier.  Right after Labor Day may work.

I was thinking he has a little bit of a Khal Drogo vibe going...

I was very impressed by all of the interviews.

I was blown away by how articulate and mature all of the rookies were.  Danny drafted a collection of high quality guys and found great guys in free agency.

To a man, I heard a singular message about the need to play together and to sacrifice for one another.  This message resonated throughout the entire team.

+1 I like Kantor, we shot to many 3’s last year, how many times did we complain on the Game On thread too many 3’s. Kantor will do wonders for us, a real big. Poirier talks a good game, love he embraces the dirty work, RW has freakin so much potential, our bigs are gonna shock people this year....
