For players with at least 24000 career minutes played he is one of a handfull of guards that was a standout shooter in the early years of the nba - only 6 players were able to put up at least 17 points per game - ranking him 3rd behind Robertson and West while shooting his 2 pointers at a .456 % clip ( very high for those days).

One great guy! I know he was a dear friend of "our" Sam, but he was always such a terrific player/gentleman/teammate when he was playing. I know he was sick a couple of years ago, and lost his wife. I always loved him. Especially when Wilt tried to block his shot and Sam would just look at him and say..........TOO LATE!!!!
