#Hornets announce F Gordon Hayward is out at least a month with a right foot sprain. No Boston return for Hayward tomorrow. #Celtics
MY NOTE:  This will significantly impact their playoff push and help us.

The Celtics are masters of their own destiny.

They have 2 games each remaining against Charlotte and NYK.   The Hawks hold the 2-1 tie breaker.  We also play the Sixers and the Nets one more time.

The margin to absorb losses and move  up in the standings is razor thin.

This team needs to win right now.

Agreed, dboss.  I like this little 3-game stretch coming up this week.  It's going to tell us a lot.  I hope it is what we want to see and hear.  Again, the three options are:

1)  We really move up in the standings by playoff time and come in around 3rd-5th butting out an already faltering MIL that's finally realizing they're not getting a clear, clean ticket again to the ECF.

2)  We tread water and finish in 7th-10th spot and get mercifully bumped in either the play-in games or definitely lose to PHI and/or BKN in the first round

3)  We screw around, tank and miss the dance altogether

I'll put my money on Option 2 until we're out of the season long rut.

I forgot.  I don't think I will get to see today's game being in NC, but we'll see.  In the past it has been blacked out, but with all the COVID changes and no fans, blacking out seems even more stupid and ridiculous than it usually does.

dboss is right.  Their future is in their own hands.  Let's see what this 3-game stint holds for us!

Go Celtics!!
