Celtics are finalizing hiring Warriors coach Aaron Miles to Ime Udoka’s staff, per sources. Miles played with Udoka for Fort Worth in the D-League & after two years coaching the Warriors’ G League team, he was promoted to Steve Kerr’s bench in ‘19. @Jake Fischer first to report.

MY NOTE:  I'd love to see him hire a former HC, like the way GSW just hired Kenny Atkinson and Steve Nash hired Mike (no) D'Antoni.  Don't want the coaching staff to be TOO young, just like we don't want the team to be TOO young.

Btw, all of Ime's coaching hires so far are Portland homies for him.  Stoudemire and Miles are both from Portland, OR too.

This must be making Pritchard absolutely giddy with happiness.  His hometown of Tualatin, OR is 12 miles outside of Portland.  He has probably known ALL three of these guys from his early AAU days (we know that for sure with Ime because Ime has himself said he has known PP since then).

If it is necessary for Udoka to have a former head coach on staff, he isn't ready. I think he is. The last thing he needs is an Atkinson or D'antoni looking over his shoulder, IMO.
