Watched the Bill Russell doc on Netflix. If anyone hasn't seen it, it is very good and passes the time during the break.

Robert Parish was interviewed on Sirius XM NBA today about Bill Russell, and the Chief is one very smart man who knows both his basketball and civil rights history down pat. At one point he commented about the racist travails Russ and his family had to endure in Boston...the details are too grim to repeat here...but Robert learned that Russell's courage to endure, persist, overcome and triumph had a big effect on reducing hate in a city once scarred by it. It was a very moving interview, and my respect fo Parrish and especially Russ grew even more.

Finallllly Thursday is upon us. We’re in the stretch run to 18.

We wouldn't be talking about 18 if we hadn’t won #17 and in order to get to 17 we had to hoist up #16 . So here’s to one last Ole school memory.
