SHAQ COULD BE OUT UNTIL ALL-STAR BREAK

As expected, Shaquille O'Neal won't play against the Magic Sunday and Doc Rovers acknowleged that it's not looking for Monday's game against the Bobcats, either. It may be even longer than that for O'Neal who has missed the last two games with an Achilles injury. "He’s not going to be out a long time, but I don’t think he’ll be back today, tomorrow or maybe until we go on break," Rivers said. "We’re going to need him in the playoffs and we want him to be right and healthy. This gives him a chance to get all the other things that were ailing him right too."

Rivers wants to give O'Neal enough time to heal to break the cycle of playing five games and then missing five more once something begins to bother him. Rivers remains confident that O'Neal will get heathy eventually and ready for the playoffs.
