10/27/09 Celtic trivia question?
The number 988 carries great significance to any player who has ever wore Celtic green and played on the famous parquet. It was even a top issue in a particular episode of "Cheers." What is the significance of the number 988?

Re: 10/27/09 Celtic trivia question?
Geesh this is hard comming up with questions that are a little challenging yet interesting. I shall continue to have a question Monday thru Friday and post it around 11 am or later. Will be no question Friday as I will be away.
(And will hopefully have good news upon my return)

PS. anyone with suggestions for an interesting question just PM me and I will consider using it and giving you full credit for it, and of course you would be inelligible to answer it.

Beat,
My guess was inspired by Bob's answer. It was the next logical guess.
I don't remember the episode (or very much else from the '80's for that matter) but that is best left for another time.

Re: 10/27/09 Celtic trivia question?
Another story about the bolts.
I was at the last game at the garden, a friend of mine who works there, tried to get a hold of the bolts before they threw them out. He was told at one time he could have them, but someone intercepted, said they we going to be monitored as they went into the trash, so that no one could get them.
I don't know if this really happened or not, but it would have been great to have one.
