Ok I got it, did not take long to get it...about 4 minutes into the game.................................. THE NBA/STERN FIX IS IN................
I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH ARE THEY PAYING THESE WORTHLESS PIECES OF DIRT BAGS CALLED REFEREE'S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WAS SO OBVIOUS I'LL BE SURPRISED IF A CONGRESSIONAL HEARING IS NOT CALLED....WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!! HEY STERN YOU JUST CHEAPENED YOUR PRODUCT EVEN FURTHER.................HOW CAN FANS RESPECT AND TRUST IN THE NBA AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miami shot 53% in the first half, largely on the 9-11 shooting of DWade. We shot a pathetic 36%, including a 14 point first quarter, largely on the poor shooting of everybody not named Ray Allen. That was our demise. We basically exchanged runs in the second half and you can't do that when you're down 15 and we were down 15 because we only scored 36 points in the first half. The 51 points we scored in the second half, though, was more like it.

1. 23 points by DWade in the first half? We're lucky we were only down 15 at the half. Thank God Ray Allen showed up to play.

2. How many times did Pierce forget to take the ball with him when he dribbled?

3. I thought Mike Miller was the designated gunner off the bench? Where the hell did this Jones kid come from? Well, can't leave him alone anymore, can we? Jones and Wade WERE the Miami offense in the first half. Jones averages 3.5 3pt fga/gm and hits 43%, today he was 5-7. A BIG game for him. If he averages the 7.6ppg has been averaging in the playoffs or the 5.9ppg he averaged throughout the season, we win this in a laugher.

4. That flagrant foul on JON was HUGE. We were making a run and then they score 5. I didn't know refs can't review called flagrant fouls. That's dumb.

5. Jeff Green is the strongest 6'4"-6'5" player I've ever seen. Except for Barkley. And Adrian Dantley. Too bad he's supposed to be 6'8"+. C'mon Jeff! Go STRONG when you're driving!! He FINALLY did it, but there was only a couple of minutes left. He needs to do that all game.

6. The "head butt/face rub" by Pierce was capital-DUMB and unnecessary, but his subsequent ejection was ridiculous. DWade made NO attempt to go around Pierce's pick. He ran directly into the middle of Pierce's chest and then they call Pierce with his second T? The ref who ejected Pierce btw is, I believe, the same ref who called the flagrant foul on him.

7. Did you see the look on DWade's face as he looked at his bench after Ray Allen hit that falling out of bounds 3ptr with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter? He couldn't believe it neither. I've been yapping about Ray Allen all year, but I'm running out of superlatives. He's amazing.

Ok, so I guess we're not going to sweep Miami.

Unfortunately, Celtics didn't play good enough. They couldn't score and on the other end allowed Jones to get 25(!) points.
The only good poin is that they managed to shut Mia bigs and limit Lebron.
Very frustrating game. I hope they will cool down and demolish Mia in the game 2.

The Technicals on Jermaine and Paul were indisputably bogus, but we lost the game on our own.

Rajon was still in Boston. I don't know who showed up to play point for us in Miami.

Ray made the game worth watching. As unsatisfactory as the overall result was , it was a joy to watch him play the game magnificently.

When you let a team get up on you by 17 points or more, it is so hard to fight
your way back and use up all that energy doing so.

There were some positives to take from the loss:

l. Ray Allen, still shooting lights out.

2. Baby played half way decent, and that was not a blocking foul on him,
it was an offensive foul

3. As far down as they got, they fought back and just couldn't get over the hump. Losing Pierce ruined any chance of that.

4. The fact that KG can definitely play better, even though he held Bosh down pretty darn good.


5. Delonte showed some good signs today, I just wish his shooting would come along faster.


6. We lost by 9, they out shot us at the free throw line by 12 or 13

7. there have to be better referee's in the second game?????????????????

Baby played "halfway decent"? in 23 minutes he had 4 points (on 40% shooting) and 4 rebounds. And the team was a godawful -21 while he was in there, though obviously that can't all be attributed to him, though no one else was even worse than -9. Those numbers in roughly half a game makes him damn near invisible.

But no one is talking about 3 obvious charges that went against the Celtics and all the tick tac fouls being called against us. Oh and how about flagrant foul called on JON........a JOKE ......if I did not know Arnold Rothstein was dead I would have thought he bet on the game and paid the ref's off......sorry I don't trust them now I think the whole NBA is a sham!!!!!

That's is what cost us the game!

It also lead to Pierce getting real frustrated at non call against him and the Celtics.

NBA and Stern want the Heat to win...you cannot change my mind on that.

Unfortunately there are 100's if not 1000's almost like him.

THere are more snakes like Bin Laden. However, it could be a political smoke screen by Obama to take our minds off gas prices and boost his sagging image. I won't comment on the game, since I don't want certain posters to believe Chicken Little has resurfaced.

In spite of the terrible calls - Rondo being out to lunch - KG playing half a game - Jeff Green continuing to sleep walk - and that DONKEY throwing the captain out during the most important run of the game - they still were in it till the end.

They need to grab game two and then establish themselves in game 3 and 4 at home....and things will be just fine.

The NBA and ABC are rooting so hard for the heat, it is disgusting. I am going to watch game 3 listening to Grandy and Max...as I cannot stand the national teams as they kiss Lebron and Wade's asses for 2 hours. Disgusting.

Here's a good article about the last night's game.
Interesting info about Shaq.

A few observations.
1. As others have noticed RR has yet to show up. When he does he has to be super aggressive.
2. 2nd unit has to play better. There're times when they play against 3 and 6, so they have contain them. Speaking of which. I think JG did a decent job on Lebron.
3. KG was off last night except the last few minutes when he took over for PP.
4. Mia got under Celtics skin with the help from refs. Hopefully, tomorrow Celtics will return the favor.

After listening to Hubie do the prior game I knew what would happen, 2 minutes in JVG and MJ were so full of praising the boy king and wade I muted it.

I also for the what it's worth dept e-mailed ESPN/ ABC and let them know my displeasure to the homer announcers. Also told them to have Hubie do the next c's game.

Yeah I know it didn't do any good but at least someone might have looked at it.

What was JONs flagrant for? I can not find a video of it anywhere.

I was very surprised to see PP get that second T, would love to know what he said, oughta be good and rated R.

Mike Breen is the Knicks announcer and is certainly steamed about how the C's zapped the Knicks in the previous round. Breen also did NY Liberty and WNBA games before doing NBA games. He hated the Houston Comets too for always punking the Liberty in the playoffs. Van Gundy and Jackson should forget basketbal analysis and go to Vegas as the next Steve Rossi & Marty Allen. Which one is the Singer? (not sewing machine)!

Saw it now, you can call a foul on it but flagrant is wow.

It is really as much a flagrant as it would be on Wade when PP got ejected, less so really. The play by Wade was pretty smart since he knew Allen was free at that point so he would be better of fouling Pierce + give him a nice breast warmer.

About stuff being rigged, I do not even want that possibility to enter my paranoid mind, I will just roll with trying to be blissfully naive about things although it at times is very difficult
