The best shooters in the NBA

An interesting article from deadspin.com. They have done the work that nba.com/hotspots used to do, but haven't updated by NBA.com since 2010, and that is to show you where shooters are at their best.

Interestingly, Rajon Rondo is the best shooter in the NBA from the area foul line to the 3pt line and from the middle of the paint out to the elbow. There are graphics on the website that explain that better than me.

So, Rondo has some sweet spots that he is very effective shooting from. Now, if he could only hit free throws...

Also, notice that Ray and KG are bracketing Rondo, also on the left side of the basket. From a defensive coach's perspective this is good, since it means you should overload the defense on the left side of the basket and force these guys to shoot from the right side of the basket where they're not as strong.
