Had a nice day 1/2 day of work then preping for our church turkey dinner for a bit, dinner is this eve. Mowed lawn in the eve.

Sectional game this eve for Marcus. We play a team that beat us 16-4 a month ago. We can't play any worse so who knows ( of the 21 outs they got 18 were strikeouts) so we just have to put the ball in play, somehow.

And to top it of it's the wife's birthday today!!

Of course the standard for our birthday's are a card and some scratch off lottery tickets.

$10 investment turned into a total of 6$ in winnings.....WOW!
Of course that went into buying some for the wife today. Think $6 is enough.

Of course the always observant Marcus noted that we almost won big on a couple them, (you know match 3 amounts and win that amount), we had $100,000 a couple of times on a couple of tickets ....... told him that every loosing one is ALMOST a big winner!

Sam no worry about the house, we used the BIG single number candles, the ones the kids had when they were 5 and 9 years old. Next year will be tough as I don't know if we have a 0. Of course the wife's numbers are a bit "lower".

Little late but Happy Birthday.

I know you guys really care about each other and each family. Great so see and read. Thought I would throw out a real good feel good story. My son is coming up on his 26th birthday. To make a long story short, he had a very turbulant growing up period. Thing were BAD. Didn't know if he was going to end up in jail, dead, or straighten out. He finally decided to get his life right. Turned into a very religious person after some professional help. Now is is less than a year from graduatiing from RN school making the best grades in his class. He if finally getting away from minimum wage for the past 3 years as he has worked his way thru school with help from mom and dad. Got picked from around a hundred applicants in the trauma center of a major hospital to do intern work. Truly a amazing turnaround. Just goes to show you never give up on them, they will surpise you. Not sure why I am putting this out there other than I couldn't be more proud of a kid. Probably not needed on this board so just skip thru it.

BTW i am the only dummy in the family without a degree.

You say not needed on this board? , you couldn't be more wrong. Don't think for one second that your son's issues don't matter to us. I am so glad to hear he has turned it around. Hopefully he is reminded from time to time just where he has been........... so he'll never want to go back.

Hearing about our family issues both good and bad is refreshing as it brings us together for more than just a game.

And speaking of which, Marcus's team lost yesterday in the sectionals 6-1 to a very good team. Now it's heavy on the rehab and hopefully sometime this summer a return to the mound. We shall see.
