Gyso, I know here a guy falls on Pierce no call, LJ is on top of Rondo and we get a foul call!

A MAJOR DISGRACE!

AS I SAID BEFORE ....THEY WANT THE MVP IN THE FINALS, NOT SITTING HOME!

I say do not pick the MVP or any other awards until the season is finished!

A joke......and the only way to stop it is do not buy merchandise nor go to games! For me it starts now! I am not buying the NBA channel next year. I will switch to satellite and get CSNE and bypass the Ass H@*#'s!

You are on the right path. No more purchase of anything NBA related as long as Stern is Commissioner!

Bob, I agree with most of what you say however, the foul on Rondo was a joke. It was a loose ball, players are diving to it. Rondo slithers under James...not impeding his path...gets landed on....and he gets the foul! Sorry do not see it that way. At worst, it was a jump ball, a best a foul on James!

Don't look for Russ to suit up. I know back in the day he could do the unbelieveable, but he's got to be pushing 80. Now if we could get a creole/ Jamacian sourceress to put a curse on the Heat's plane, maybe it won't make it to Boston, and Stern will HAVE to send the Celtics to The Finals. Let it go down between Baltimore & PA. so I can put a curse on it.

Doc was like a gambler in Vegas...pushing all of his chips in the pot.

Now I can only imagine the toll this has taken on the team..

I still do not understand why the bench was not given an opportunity to play. Using daniels or sasha for a few minutes woul have benefitted po and ra.

I would have to say that doc may have ended our chance to win a game. One day off will not be enough unless the Heat try to skate along.

Too many minutes for the aged is a formula for a quick burnout.

dBoss,

I have been too busy getting on a dishonest game called by the ref's to touch upon that subject but YES!

Why mid way through the 3rd period did Doc not bring in Dooling for ball pressure, perhaps Sasha/Daniels to relieve Pierce and add some physical pressure on James while saving Pierce and his foul situation. That's 2 games now in the playoff that Pierce has fouled out. That tell me that Paul is playing tough defense......and with that, the high probability of being called for fouls.

The strategy should have been to continue physical pressure on James with several players, not just one (Pierce) and wear James out.

The only reason the Celtics are where they are is because of Doc and respect he shares with his players.

He is not beyond criticism - but just like yesterday when you said Paul Pierce "sucked" - your hyperbole is again over the top here D.

Doc deserves way more credit than blame fr howhe manages this team. Way more. Without him the Celts are not in the ECF and several of our star players are probably not on the team. Rondo owes much to Doc and pays him the respect he deserves.

You think the guys playing that game last night wanted to come out? He rode his horses, win or lose. They lost last night, I don't know what condition KG will be in today and tomorrow. I think he is wiped out, but, you never know how deep they can dig at home. I would like to see them win both, I know it is calling for a miracle, but.......I Believe it can happen.

Bob as I recall, we only went six games with Detroit in 2008, not seven. Broussard keeps saying this as well. Maybe I missed a game. bounce

Go Celtics. Focus, focus, focus on wining Game 3. Don't be sidetracked by all the detritus about referees and conspiracies. Don't get preoccupied by Rondo's performance in Game 2. Leave those things to fans and message boards. Just make the necessary adjustments, and focus, focus, focus on the next game. That's the sum total of what you need to do at this time. Very simple, very imperative!

Mrkleen09

I do not think it is an unreasonable observation to suggest that Boston basically threw in all the marbles to win a game and with just one day of rest they may not have time to recover.
And I think we have seen enough evidence to reach this conclusion.

As far as me saying that pp sucks, I posted a retraction so what r you trying to say? It is not my purpose to agree or disagree with anyone on this board.

The celts cannot win playing 6 and1/2 men. I would be surprised if they can take game three.

And that is Doc fault?

If they didnt have a 18 FT disparity and Wade gets called for the BLATANT foul on Rondo and the Celtics win - I bet you are singing a different tune.

The easiest position in sports is Monday Morning Quarterback. Sorry I am not impressed with insulting the captain and the coach - on back to back days.

Mrkleen

not looking for your agreement or disagreement. I am just expressing my opinion which u disagree with. But don't get emotional on me.

And to answer your question ...yes I do blame doc for not using his rotation players because I believe that playing a short lineup is not prudent...for obvious reasons
to anyone that undetstands that the degree of stamina is usuallly related to age.

Sorry if I insulted the 'Captain' As I said, I retracted that statement...but now I am going to retract it again...pp has sucked in the playoffs...his low shooting percetage...turnovers, not getting back on defense, stupid fouls, hero shots, etc, etc have hurt this team.

Sorry but this is what I have seen. Lets see if the 'Captain' steps up in game three.

Mrkleen

Game 2 PP 43, KG 45, RA 43

Bench MP 28, KD 15, GS 5, RH 1

Combined 7 pts, 5 rebounds and 1 assist off the bench. The bench cannot contribute if they don't play.

Last year the Celts ran out of gas. Against the Lakers 2010, we ran out of gas. Pp and ra do not have enough energy to close out games deep in the playoffs.

I see history repeating itself. I sure hope I'm wrong but It is insanity to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

Doc has no confidence in his bench and the bench has no confidence in themselves.

I trust too but at the same time I have to question a strategy that has proven to be a failure in the past.

We have not won a title since 08.

I am not referring to doc overall coaching abilities. I think he is a great coach. I am talking about one particular thing...playing the older guys too many minutes.

You disagree...that cool...

Funny how you take what I said out of context. Is it possible to criticize a great player or a great coach or a great team and still be a loyal longtime fan as I am.

Why have a damn bench if you are not going to use it?
