You need to use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) OR just use Google Chrome as your web browser and click the links above

If you chose to use VLC:

After you install you run the software you go to the menus, media -> open network stream -> http

Then just copy and paste location of the game you want to see from the list above.

Needless to say the links should not be spread around outside of this community. Not because of copyright of the material but because of bandwidth issues.

I will add more games as I can as long as I can see that the server holds up.

Can someone who uses google chrome as a browser and is interested in testing out the videos please pm me.

Why I asked for someone who was using Google Chrome was because I managed to get it setup where you could fast forward in file without having to download the whole game when watching in chrome.

So one can jump to any part of the game and so on and watch it it "live" without having to download it (as long as your internet connection is fast enough to keep up with it)

Ok does anybody on the board have VLC media player installed? (otherwise you can get it here: http://www.videolan.org/mirror-geo.php?file=vlc/1.0.3/win32/vlc-1.0.3-win32.exe)

If so please try start it and then:

file -> open network stream -> http/https/ftp/mms and in the URL box enter http://sthlm.phantor.com/~ll/celtics/NBA_2009_Dec1_Celtics_at_Bobcats.mp4

Let me know how that works. You should be able to skip ahead in the game and so on.

Just to let you know, I tried to download VLC media player, and nothing happened. If could be some combination of my using a Mac and my basic idiocy around a computer, but it started talking about mirrors, etc., and I did a terminal fogout. I'm sure someone with a brain will be able to help you.

Should really work to stream it with any player that supports mp4/streaming. If you use google chrome you can play/stream straight in the browser by just clicking the links.

Opening it in other browsers i think will either start downloading the file and/or opening it with some browser plugin.

Added the games vs Heat and Raptors to the list.

Added the games from Nov 18th (Golden State Warriors) and Nov 22nd (New York Knicks)

Did you start VLC and go: media -> network -> copy and paste the url (and select protocol http) ?

In older versions of VLC it might be "file" instead of "media" and "network stream" instead of "network".

Added the latest game against the Wizards!

With Google Chrome browser process is simple and quality is great.

Rather than having to paste and guess links, can you not list the links at, say,
http://sthlm.phantor.com/~ll/celtics/

Much easier - wouldn't have to remember/guess dates/opponents, etc.

You are right, with google chrome it is just click and play.

You do not really have to remember any links either since you can just go to this thread.

Why I did not want to keep the directory open was that there would be an increased risk of people sharing the location and/or search engines finding it and listing it.

I will consider it though.
