Brett Brown Hired to Coach Philly

Celtics assistant coach Jay Larranaga, the guy who coached summer league, was in the running for the job, but Philly went with someone else.

This is good news for us. We've got enough new balls, variables and unknowns to juggle as it is, keeping a coach who is already known to those players who were in green last year is a good thing, not just for the players but also for Stevens. He can pick Larranaga's brain regarding who/what he has to work with. A little residual, organizational memory is precious at this time.
