MERRY CHRISTMAS Empty MERRY CHRISTMAS

Post by RosalieTCeltics Thu Dec 24, 2009 7:56 am

With Christmas Eve upon us, I am using what little time I have right now to wish all of my Celtic Friends and followers a truly blessed, wonderful Christmas. It has been a trying year for alot of you and hopefully the new year will bring you all peace and happiness and alot less stress.

Thanks to Sam and his counterparts for setting up this board and allowing all of us to share our thoughts and
sometimes crazy rantings about a team we all so passionately care about.

HERE'S TO A WIN IN ORLANDO, A HEALTHY NEW YEAR FOR OUR BOYS, ANDBANNER #18 HANGING IN THE GARDEN.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL, HAVE A SAFE, HEALTHY AND HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON.

Rosalie and all

I was looking to start a thread like this, so I'll just follow suit instead.

It's been a trying time for many of us. HOWEVER there is always hope. If we can put a smile on someones face, if we can ease someones pain a bit, if we can do something for those with less, we can rest assured these gifts will be returned in ways we could never expect or imagine.

To my entire Celtic Family I wish to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Things are still unsettled to say the least, but we will get through it. I wish all of you a Very Merry Holiday Season.

And a special thanks for Sam without whom this place would not exsist and to his staff of elves who help with the glitches.

Lastly to the goal of #18.

Celtics Fan Family, I echo what Rosalie stated 1000 times over. A number of us certain have had our "trials and tribulations" in recent times. Unfortunately, it seems our family has had more than its share. Another family circle loss has continued to test our "will". However, the days are always brighter when following the guys in green and having some enjoyable debates with you'all, as Jebster would say.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, yes including the GOOD Laker fans. Number 18 would sure be great medicine!!!

Merry Christmas to all.

I'll be leaving for Boston soon to visit friends and family today. I wish I could travel as quickly as Santa does because I'd like to visit each and every one of you and share and eggnog.

In spirit I will.

From my perspective, the camaraderie has always been the main reason to participate on a message board. Which means a message board is only as good as the quality of its membership. And, in that respect, this one is topnotch.

It's been such a success, due to all of you, that frankly it's difficult not to anticipate that the axe will fall. It's been absolutely light years beyond whatever we could have hoped for at the outset. You people are all the very best. The VERY best!

I'm at an age when one's family unfortunately goes through natural stages of attrition. It's unbelievable that mine has been expanded so bountifully.

Many thanks and blessings of the season to all of you. Here's hoping a happy, healthy, and (yes, I'll say it) prosperous 2010 awaits one and all.

All the best,

Sam

Yall

Hoping you all have a happy holiday season. You guys that are having trouble remember we are all on loan to each other. WHen you really start to understand that I think it makes you wiser and more humble and those are good things. Bad times pass and even if things break bad it gives the other people in your life more sweetness and definition. It's all so fragile.

I am stunned by the level of fellowship and smarts I see daily on this board. I dont really have anything to campare it to not having been on bdc or anywhere else previously. It's funny how life works ... for whatever reason I glanced at the bdc forum and began reading it and then finally posted and Sam invited me here. Quite a few guys on this board reached out to me when I needed it. With warmth and humor.

And here I sit. Happily surrounded by fellow Celtics geeks and this place is a really great part of my life.

Happy holidays to you all!

Jeb

Hey, I just heard that Glen Davis is going to play. All of a sudden he is okay?
I think they were really being very cautious with him. This is good news, not that he will play big minutes, but having him being able to come off the bench is good news.

Happy holidays fellas (and Rosalie).

Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

I normally wouldn't put Phil Jackson quote in a post of this type, but I thought you guys would get a holiday laugh out of this chat excerpt from the other day:

John Smith (NJ)

What do you think to yourself when people say the only reason your a good coach is because you had MJ and now you have Kobe?

Phil Jackson (3:30 PM)

I think they're right.

Very Happy

Just as a follow up to Jeb's words, which I totally agree with, aka- Life Is Short.

Right after reading this thread and adding my post, I flipped over to the LA Times.
A headline tonight in LA is "Fatal Ferrari Crash Closes PCH in Newport Beach". One minute, some guy with a lot of dough is driving his amazing car through one of the nicest towns in the country on Christmas Eve, presumably on top of the world. A second later, he's dead after slamming into a tow truck.

You just never know when your time is coming.

Hug your loved ones this holiday season and make sure your family and friends know how you feel about them, because our presence on this planet is a gift we all too frequently take for granted. In fact, it's the greatest gift of all.

It's what so great at the end of It's A Wonderful Life when Jimmy Stewart realizes that he does indeed have a wonderful life.

I have no idea where I'm going with this, so I'm just going to sign off.

Cheers to all, and remember that we are all lucky indeed.

Hey look, mister - we serve hard drinks in here for men who want to get drunk fast, and we don't need any characters around to give the joint "atmosphere". Is that clear, or do I have to slip you my left for a convincer?

That's it. Out you two pixies go - through the door, or out the window.

Get me. I'm givin' out wings.
