BLIZZARD 2014

Well this is quite a New Year's greeting!

Here on the North Shore of Long Island we have about an inch of snow but the winds are picking up out of the Notheast.  We are expecting anywhere from 6 - 15 inches starting later in the day with temps in the single numbers tonight and only marginally higher tomorrow. Winds are expected to gust over 50+ MPH.  A BLIZZARD !

About the same forecast for here, although we may be exposed to it for a longer period than most places as the storm goes out to sea. We recently unearthed an old generator downstairs and assumed it didn't work. But a guy came over and got it started, and it worked fine. Unfortunately, he has to rebuild the carburetor before it can run for an extended period. So, if the power goes, we'll be relying on our ventless propane stove that we can start manually.

Looking forward to the game if the power doesn't go.

Well we are going to miss the brunt of this............ 12-16 inches here is no big deal but we have places to put it.

Windy and extreemly cold however high today is 1.... tomorrow will be less.

Sort of like the Celtics shooting as of late.

saw that video a while ago.....

both drivers are idiots but the guy in the loader has no clue. Obviously the bucket worked fine. He could have crabbed walked himself right out of that spot with a little effort. The bucket lower will raise up the middle, then he has to pivot the bucket and mover the middle over raise the bucket and repeat should move about a foot minimum each time. Sort of like Bron's "crab" dribble. Plus the guy is hooked up to the wrong end of the loader to boot. Oh well, like one of the comments it was a ford SUV and would not have lasted too much longer anyway !!!!
