To start with, NOP Anthony Morrow will opt OUT of his contract and become a free agent.

6'5", 210#, almost 29 years old. Averaged 19mpg last year. Shot 45% from 3. His player option was for $1.15M. Cheap for a proven gunner.


We already know about Joel Anthony opting IN for his option with the Boston Celtics. $

Morrow has a Bayless-type profile but is taller and a better shooter. For short money, he could be a bit of an upgrade over Bayless if Jerryd flies the coop. At 6' 5", it's even possible that he could be a swing man and/or a sixth man type.

Morrow can shoot. He's worth a look as a designated sniper off the bench.

Morrow will probably be looking to be paid in the $3-4M range. Which is about the same as Bayless.

IF Rondo is staying, Morrow over Bayless makes some sense.
