Boston Celtics rookie James Young appeared to suffer a right shoulder injury during Wednesday's game against the Delaware 87ers.

Young clutched the shoulder after absorbing contact from Drew Gordon while trying to corral a pass near midcourt. Young was attended to by a trainer on the court before walking off the floor while still clutching the right (non-shooting) shoulder.

Before the injury, Young was having a quality night with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting (5-of-7 beyond the 3-point arc). Young added six rebounds, three assists and two steals over 24 minutes.

Green and fellow rookie Dwight Powell have frequently been assigned to Maine for needed game reps.

Ironically, it was last February in Delaware that Celtics rookie center Vitor Faverani suffered a knee injury that would end his season (and has kept him off the floor for the start of the 2014-15 season). Young's injury doesn't look nearly as severe, but we'll know more after he's reevaluated by the team upon their return to Boston on Thursday.
