I'm glad to see he's coming back. I always thought the NBA shafted him although he brought a lot of it on himself. It's the least PHI and the league can do to make up for their part in everything.

Also wondered what he would have been like had he been caught early on in his career in a Celtic jersey.

AI in the front office? Practice? Hey, it's just practice. I mean it's only practice...

We're talkin' about practice!

He actually didn't need to practice. He just needed some better players around him. That dude could light it up.

His style of play and attitude always made me light up with happiness.

Happiness that he never became a Celtic.

AI may not have needed practice but his teammates did.  Russell hated practice and didn't need it.  But he showed up because he was the team leader and knew that his teammates needed it.

AI wanted to be the leader but he did not want the responsibility of a leader.

...It's practice, I mean we're talking about practice...

Yeah, Sam. He was a bit of a ball hog. His picture was in the dictionary next to those two paired words.

Didn't Ainge flirt with the idea of signing AI?

Absolutely, Sloop.  For about a week, I traveled around to every place of worship on the East Coast, leaving a quarter (big money for me) at each one in return for prayers. I spent $700 million, and every quarter was worth it.
