Kevin Garnett's Scrapbook
KG just discovered Instagram and is posting memorabilia pics.
Here's one of him and Paul Pierce, as teenagers:
KG captioned this one "Bros 4 Life"
KG still has connections to the current Celtics team, too. This awesome group photo, likely taken in 2012 or 2013, features a young Jared Sullinger and Avery Bradley on the right, as well as KG standing head and shoulders above his buddy, Rajon Rondo.
The Core Four of Boston’s 2008 championship team — Ray Allen, Pierce, Rondo and Garnett — all in one photo. Plus a flight attendant.
Garnett and Rondo had their differences, but KG played a crucial role in the young point guard’s development when he joined the Celtics in 2008 and remains one of Rondo’s closest friends. Garnett captioned this photo, “MY LIL BRO… 4… LIFE…”
KG posed for this terrific photo of then-Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss when he was just 22 and Moss was 23. In Garnett’s caption, he called Moss his favorite football player ever.
There are plenty of turtlenecks to go around in this old picture of the original Timberwolves brain trust that drafted KG in 1995: head coach Flip Saunders, general manager Kevin McHale and team owner Glen Taylor. KG’s caption: “The beginning…”
Garnett is an extremely intense dude on the court, but he’s also very capable of kicking it, as this photo can attest.
Everyone knows how much Garnett loved “Gino Time” in Boston, so it’s no surprise this photo found its way onto his ‘Gram.
KG finished his high school career in Chicago at Farragut Career Academy, whose team colors were blue and gold. While he went straight to the NBA, rumors are Michigan was his top choice had he gone to college, and this photo certainly does nothing to dispel those rumors.
