first week of April combined mock draft ranking
Draftnet, Draftexpress and draftroom 2 round mocks all updated this week.
I combine and average them to get this ranking of where players were selected. Must be in at least two of the three mocks t make this list.

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
I was looking for this same list that was produced before the college season started. I know that I remember seeing it, but cannot find it anywhere.
Might be nice to see them compared. Off the top of my memory, the top of the list appears pretty similar to what I remember from before the season?

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
I think I posted one last month sometime, but that was the first one I did.
I don't keep past ones, as it's a rolling average for me.
off the top of my head
Hield
Dunn
Sabonis
Chriss
are all risers
it'll change each month as we get closer.
I use this as a snapshot as to where players are considered today only.
once we get to a couple weeks out from the draft, things do start to solidify.

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
KDP, here's that Jaylen Brown/Aaron Gordon video. As you can see, I'm coming around on him big-time. And I recall two years ago Aaron Gordon was ranked 8th-11th for the entire pre-draft season, and it was thought that Orlando reached at #4. Nobody says that anymore.

KDP,
Do you want me to sticky this thread to use as our ongoing mock draft thread?

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
Up to you Gyso,
it's a bit early as we still don't know for sure who's in and who's out.
I'll add another row that shows the last ranking for each player in the next one around may, to show movement.

My picks today based on this ranking and our recent play:
4. J. Murray- scorer and best upside compared to Dumm and Hield
trade #16, 22 and #52 for the #11 pick
11. D. Davis- Rim protector with upside of A. Horford or D. Favors
31. J. Hernangomez- A shooter from anywhere, better K. Korver
35. Aj Hammons- Best big man left
45. D. Hamilton- UConn Shooter (not listed yet)
58. A. Desyatnikov- 7-2 Euro stash pick
Danny needs to try to get TWO elite players from this draft and we can see we need better shooters also.

We have the #3 lottery position currently, not 4.

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
If #3, I'd like to put in my request for Buddy Hield.
If it's not to much to ask, and I've got the draft spots right, Diamond Stone at 16 and Denzel Valentine at 23 if they're still on the board.
I'd go with Stone first and risk losing Valentine on the chance Stone gives us that center we need.
Danny? Did you get that? Dan...?
BTW; Nice job with this kdp!

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
you certainly can make a solid argument for Hield at the #3 pick for us. Especially with our lack of outside shooting.
after the top two picks, there seems to be 5-6 guys who are all grouped together and you can make an argument for any of them being Dannys first pick.
I still Like J. Brown myself and think he may turn into another Jimmy Butler type NBA player. But he's seemed to drop (for now) and his lack of consistent shot is a problem for the team , the ways it built today anyway.
Stone could be the next Al Jefferson, but will he give us any defense inside is my question. At #16 or 23 its a crap shoot though.
I like Valentine as a Crowder type player, but I think we need shooters from somewhere on this team.
either way things will shake up and down between now and the draft.
I'll try to keep this up to date, just so we can see the movement of players.
we never know what the real GMs think about players.
after the top two picks, there seems to be 5-6 guys who are all grouped together and you can make an argument for any of them being Dannys first pick.
I still Like J. Brown myself and think he may turn into another Jimmy Butler type NBA player. But he's seemed to drop (for now) and his lack of consistent shot is a problem for the team , the ways it built today anyway.

Get a shooter. That's probably the primary need. An athletic 3 or 4 is a close second.

Interesting that Bender seems locked in there at # 3 but i cannot think of a team in the top 5 that would draft him.
i see one video of him dominating what looked like some rather short high school ballers.

Re: first week of April combined mock draft ranking
I recently watched some videos of Bender.
He reminds me of Porzingis with better ball handling and he may be a better shooter.
I was very surprised at how good Bender looks.
Porzingis was also listed at 7'1" last year but is now listed at 7'3".
I wonder if Bender's height will change when measured at pre-draft workouts.
Hield could be an immediate contributor offensively for Boston.
It's hard to imagine Boston will take another guard with the Brooklyn pick without trading away a guard who is on the team now. Maybe Hield would take Turner's minutes if he signs with a different team.

Minnesota is definitely looking for a power forward.
They would probably pick Bender at #3.

Here's a new mock draft from Basketball Insiders.
I thought it was a little funny since 6 of the 8 Celtics picks are from guys who are 7'1"-7'-3".

If it's not to much to ask, and I've got the draft spots right, Diamond Stone at 16 and Denzel Valentine at 23 if they're still on the board.
I'd go with Stone first and risk losing Valentine on the chance Stone gives us that center we need.
Danny? Did you get that? Dan...?
BTW; Nice job with this kdp!
what do you see in Stone that makes him better than AJ Hammons....how would you compare them?
