More bad news for Brooklyn's draft picks
Besides not having their first round pick this season, Brooklyn will switch 2nd round pick with the LA Clippers.
Brooklyn will give up the 33rd or 34th pick and get back the 55th pick.
On July 11, 2012, the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers made a trade. The deal landed the Nets forward Reggie Evans via a sign-and-trade, while the Clippers received the ability to swap second round picks in 2016.
“Reggie Evans is one of the most tenacious rebounders in the league,” former GM Billy King said at that time. “He is a proven NBA veteran and will be an important addition to our front court rotation.”
The trade did include a provision that the Clippers could only swap picks if their 2016 selection landed 31-55. Well, the Clippers will own the No. 55 pick, which will allow them to swap with Brooklyn.
The Nets will now own the No. 55 pick in the 2016 NBA draft, while the Clippers will move up to No. 33 or No. 34. The Nets are without their 2016 first round pick -- a lottery selection -- thanks to Kings' trade with the Boston Celtics, which brought Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to Brooklyn on July 12, 2013.

Re: More bad news for Brooklyn's draft picks
Thanks for this, TJ.
So, this year's haul for Brooklyn will consist of a #50+ pick and that's it.
Boston owns Brooklyn's first round picks this year and in 2018 but we also have the right to swap first round picks with Brooklyn in 2017. So anything that helps keep them down next year is good for us too. With luck, and Trader Danny, we will still keep rising while Brooklyn gets another year older, has no young picks coming in and continue to rest on the NBA's equivalent of sea bottom.
Doesn't help Laker fans, the Clippers getting a shot at a sleeper just outside of the 1st round.

Lol. What a pity (almost).
They mortgaged their future and weren't able to meet the demands.
