I believe this is the max. I know some here wanted Whiteside. I was never crazy about him (seems like a d-bag), and definitely not for that type of money.

We may very well strike out again in free agency. That's ok with me though. Unless we can sign a Durant or maybe a Horford, Danny is smart not to waste cap space on mediocre players. Whomever can exercise self restraint this year and next will dominate free agency down the road.

Heard today Whiteside was cited by the Heat 41 times last season for being late or outright missing practices or meetings. And they still agreed to pay him nearly 100 mil.
